Elizabeth Neuman

February 2017

My block prints feature birds and places, including Seattle, the Methow Valley in Eastern Washington and the Northwest Coast. The carved blocks are hand-printed on Rives BFK paper using black ink. Color is added to the areas of white with applied layers of transparent watercolor wash. My technique has developed through spending time in nature seeking to capture the energy and spirit of a bird in its place.

Gabriel Newton

January 2017

Gabriel Newton's current work depicts the sentience of animals. His acrylic paintings focus on animals that reside in and around the sea for their mysterious nature and ability to inspire reverence. He uses a dichromatic palette to suggest the animal's spirit and to highlight the texture and subtle color variations in the found wood. WWW.GABRIELNEWTON.COM
