This body of work, collaged from fleeting remnants that pass through our daily experiences of product labels and print advertisements, is an attempt to reflect our cultural and economic consumer needs and wants, and the vast underlying repercussions of our actions

My block prints feature birds and places, including Seattle, the Methow Valley in Eastern Washington and the Northwest Coast. The carved blocks are hand-printed on Rives BFK paper using black ink. Color is added to the areas of white with applied layers of transparent watercolor wash. My technique has developed through spending time in nature seeking to capture the energy and spirit of a bird in its place. 3owltree.com
